Dolby Atmos Music is an immersive music experience that adds more space, clarity, and depth to your music. Instead of just hearing your music — with Dolby, it feels like you’re inside the song.
In collaboration with Apple the new immersive audio format called Spatial Audio is now available on Apple Music. It lets the listener sink into a 360 degree sphere of sound just by using regular headphones or earbuds.
We want to be a part of this exciting journey and have therefore made a major investment and upgraded our control room to house a grand total of 11 speakers with a subwoofer.
This setup makes our studio qualified to mix and master for ”Dolby Atmos Home Theater” and "Spatial Audio".

To verify that Apple AirPods Pro / AirPods Max are configured to play spatial sound:
Connect the headphones to an iOS device running iOS 15.0 or later.
Press the "i" (info) button to the right of the headphones in the Bluetooth list.
Scroll down to "Spatial Sound" to compare stereo sound and spatial sound.
Main tracking, ie that the sound follows the movement of the head, is also checked here.
To switch between stereo and spatial sound when playing an Atmos mix on Apple Music:
Go to the control center and press and hold the volume control.
"Spatial sound On" should light up when an Atmos mix is played and here you can switch off to compare with regular stereo mix.
